Medicare Supplement Insurance Plans will help you cover the gaps in Medicare. The Medicare Supplement Insurance Plans may help you afford the deductibles and co-pays associated with your current coverage. Depending on the plan this insurance may pay part, or all, of your out-of-pocket expenses for deductibles and co-pays. With original Medicare and Medicare Supplement there is no network. You can go to any doctor, hospital, or facility in the United States that accepts Medicare. With some plans, other than your monthly premium, your maximum annual out-of-pocket expenses would be your deductible of only $283 for 2026.
Medicare Advantage Plans are insurance plans offered by private insurance companies. With this option, you need to stay in network to save money. You will not have a deductible, only co-pays. You have your health and prescription coverage under one plan with additional benefits such as dental, vision, hearing, and gym membership. This can be a great option if you are on disability or face other barriers to getting Medicare Supplement Insurance Plans. Medicare Advantage may be the option for you. It is important to review your plans during the annual election period from October 15th to December 7th.
Medicare Prescription Drug Plans are available to help you with your prescription costs. Be sure to sign up when you are first eligible to prevent getting a penalty if you would need coverage later. Also, you can sign up and/or review your plan during the annual election period of October 15th to December 7th.
